Grade 3 Math
Watch the videos to review and add to your knowledge of polygons.
Go on a house and yard polygon hunt! Find each shape, draw a picture of what you found, and describe it. If you find more, you can draw them on the back of your page.
Some Resources:
At school we have a variety of learning tools, so now we can use things from home, such as printables, and materials from around the house.
Sometimes kids like to build and touch, especially in Geometry. Here are a few ideas to try.
They can use clothespins, popsicle sticks, blunted skewers, pipe cleaners, straight pretzels, even toothpicks and marshmallows, to represent their learning.

Today you will be using Epic Reading
Read the book "Silly Animal Jokes and Riddles," it is in your mailbox.
Discuss: What was your favourite joke?
Try some of your jokes on family members. Did they like them?
Make sure you practice first, and count to three in your head before you give the punchline. It's important to give people time to catch up, so they can think about the question or story, and then be surprised by the ending!
Writing:
Write about a time you played a joke, or someone played a joke on you. Was it a trick, where the person was fooled? Was it at April Fools? Did a family member trick you with an April Fools joke? Tell who was involved, what they did, and what was said. Use proper sentences, with punctuation. Be sure to use "dialogue" marks to show what people said.
