This week all books will come from Epic Reading -

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Discuss:  

What did Alan want all through the story?  What did people keep telling him?

What made him want to put the cricket in a jar?  Once he had the cricket, did it make him happy?  Explain.

How did the story end?  Was he happier?  Explain.

 

 

Writing 

Use this frame

Show the beginning, middle and end of the story.  Write 2 - 3 sentences telling the story action.

In honour of National Aboriginal Day, Ms. Clark, a teacher in our district, has put a daily schedule up for elementary age children.  Do as many, or as few activities as you like - included are stories, videos, crafts and activities related to this theme.
